This team ensures that all things TNA runs smoothly! Each officer is responsible for keeping a core part of our organization alive, from our finances to marketing to our day-to-day operations. Applications for new executive team members typically open every fall for Assistant positions. Applications are competitive.

Emily Bo

Executive Director

Hello, world! I am Emily Bo, a rising senior in Washington state with a future in psychiatry planned. I am interested in the ways differences in development impact the adult brain. I founded this organization to promote neuroscience to marginalized communities, who often need it the most.

Neuroscience and psychology are passions of mine. I want to help create opportunities for other people to get involved and explore. Teen Neuroscience Alliance allows opportunities for people to volunteer, gain experience and knowledge of the field. 

Zarif Ula

Chief Operations Officer

Hi, I'm Zarif Ula, the Chief Operations Officer here at the Teen Neuroscience Alliance.  As COO of the Teen Neuroscience Alliance, I help lead our efforts to make neuroscience more accessible, engaging, and youth-driven. I’m excited to work with passionate students around the world from over 15 countries, support new initiatives, and help grow an international community where young minds can dive into brain science together.

Hi, my name is Ira and I'm a rising junior from Texas. I'm really passionate about neurodegenerative diseases and how we can raise awareness and find "cures". Furthermore, I have done previous research about depression and grief, and I love researching many emotions as I love acting. I joined Teen Neuro Alliance to combine my love for neuroscience with emotions and neurodegenerative diseases.

Hello everyone, My name is Talha Mahmood and I am currently an A level student from Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am really Passionate about Neuroscience and Psychology and more into the Research field. I am currently leading a Research team on the topic "Effects of Gaming on Major Depressive Disorder(MDD) apart from that I am starting a chapter of youth4neuro in Bangladesh. I want to join Teen Neuro Alliance because I would like to learn and connect with a diverse community of like minded people interested in Neuroscience.

Hi everyone! I am Siya and I’ll be entering college this fall on the Pre-med track. I am passionate about biology and have published a research paper on factors affecting female infertility. I would love to integrate that with neuroscience and also create more projects on neuroscience related topics.

Social Media Team

This team is in charge of creating the graphics posted on social media, coordinating with the Blog team for content, as well as posting frequent stories and promoting TNA, and creating engaging reels! Social media positions are typically open quarterly.

Hii guys! My name is Sara and I’m a rising senior in high school. I joined TeenNeuro Alliance because I’m really interested in learning more about the brain, how it works, and how it connects to things like behavior and mental health. Super excited to be here and work with you all!

I am passionate about neuroscience and empowering teens to explore and engage with the field. I hope to bring my leadership, organizational skills, and enthusiasm to create meaningful programs, inspire other students, and help the organization grow its impact in the community.

Hi everyone! I’m a 16-year-old student who loves neuroscience, AI, and building things that help people learn better. I’m working on creating programs and internships that give students real exposure to research. I’m also building projects that mix neurotech, computer vision, and education. My goal is to make advanced tech and research opportunities accessible to more young people.
